21-year-old blended Scotch, 40% abv. Produced in bottles and sacks of varying colors (red, blue, green), with no difference in contents. Available since at least the 1960's.

Very nice, smooth, rich flavor -- somewhat like JW Blue to me.

Recent articles in Whisky Magazine state that the collector value of the Royal Salute has not increased much beyond its retail value. That said, it sells for $270.00 here in Alabama. I found a Flagon of it in Korea for $70 on the American Army base in Seoul. My Flagon is light blue in color. The whisky is very good but not $270 good. At $70 it was a great value and worth every penny. I'd say drink it and enjoy it. You can save the flagon as a display piece or reload it and use it as a decanter.
