Hi all,
I'm looking at some economy, everyday whiskies. Does anyone know anything about the John Barr line, especially the "Gold." It's going for $14, tax included at my state run store. Is it any good?

Personally I find it harsh and edgy, even if cut wth water. In my experience a good scotch can be enojoyed both with and without water. This one was not particularly enjoyable either way. That is my opinion only.
