Johnnie Walker Black, Green and Gold

Can anyone explain the differences? Their website doesn't say much. Thanks.

It's diiferent kind of blends. Heres my opinion. Each malt is something like a factor 2 or 3 more expensive than the one before

Red : cheapest - best for Irish coffee. Black : A god blend. You can drink it neat Gold : A really good and powerful blend. Well worth its price. Blue . Luxury Blend. It's good, but for this kind of money you can get better value i single malts

Green : A blended malt.

The new Green isn't the same as the old one that was called "Pure Malt" which was a bit tripeish if you ask me. This Green is dee-lish, a great session malt which shows what you can do when you put some TLC into a vatted.

Me also. Much thanks to all. JW Green is on my list to try.

Can you be more specific? I used to pick up Green at Duty Free because it was cool and you couldn't get it in the States. But in my heart-of-hearts I felt that plain ol' Black was a better dram. There's no reference anywhere, and there's not likely to be so, of any reformulation. Can you compare tasting notes of Green with Black?
