Miltonduff

Hi. Have you ever tried miltonduff? What do you think about it? (I mean tasting notes). Here in Italy, you cannot find it. I can argue that it is used mainly for blending. I tried a sample of it yesterday (1994) and it was really excellent. Bye

I've tried Miltonduff, it's a perfectly acceptable whisky from the edges of the Glenlivet area. It's medium and firm, with a subtle appetising flowery taste. Not one I'd recommend to the many islay lovers on here.

It's usually available here as 10 or 12yo distillery bottlings, and is used in blended whisky, especially Ballantine's. I assume the whisky you have obtained is 10yo or maybe even 8yp as I understand that Italians like their malts young.

It is 1994. I found it excellent. Nose: apple, vanilla and fruit. Very persistent and bodied in the mouth. Long smell in the empty glass. And it is only a 11 y.o.! I think I'll buy the whole cask.
