We had a reasonably spicy dinner tonight, accompanied by a 2000 Frog's Leap Zinfandel. Afterward, to complement the full flavors, I decided to open a new bottle, and chose a Signatory 1975 Isle of Jura bottled in 1997.
Spectacular! In a blind tasting, I'd have sworn it was an Islay, but a little bit less body than most, with all the liveliness and complexity one could hope for.
The bad news is that my wife also liked it, so I'll have to share... 8;(
