Pip Hills, the guy who set up the Scotch Malt Whisky Society has written another book on whisky. This time, he has persuaded 4 of the best known noses in the industry to taste around 300 whiskies and use a systematic way of assessing them. The book is out in May some time, but he has set up a web site on

and will supply advance copies. He also has copies of his CD with the pronunciation of distillery names and his other books on whisky.
