Oklahoma

Many years ago I visited a friend in Oklahoma. He laughed as he told me about their 'blue laws' regarding the sale of alcohol -- dry counties, no cold beer, outside sign on the liquor store no bigger than 144 sq. in., etc., etc. Paradoxically, though, for some reason the tax on booze was very low so prices were very cheap.

Is that still true?

Anybody reading here who lives and/or buys in Okieland?

I'm not interested in the $1000/bottle Macallan or things like that (... well, I would be interested :-) but I'm trying to be realistic here.) I'm just curious about typical price ranges for the sort of mid-level single malts that are frequently discussed in this group.

Thanks in advance.

cheers,

Henry
