carbonated
Ok, I just googled Club Soda and found that club soda is the same as carbonated water, soda water, and seltzer water. So, is this true? Are they all the same as far as taste goes? If a drink calls for seltzer water then carbonated water can be used?
Sparkling water is what it says: sparkling (ie slightly effervescent) water, and is of course bottled. It is not of course the same as still water, whether of the bottled or non-bottled variety

No, not the same. Carbonated water only has a small amount of minerals (often natural). Soda water has an amount of, yes, soda, and thus a distinctive taste. That was earlier, 50 some years ago, popular as a mixer for blended whisky - I recall my dad used that. Seltzer is carbonated water - but possibly with some added salts, in a way an intermediate product. hth Anders
