which islay has the least burnt duckshit taste?

Loading thread data ...

If by burnt duckshit you mean peat, try a highland. Islay water filters through peat naturally. It's always gonna be there. Some of the less peaty Islays are Bowmore 17, Lagavulin 16. These two in particular are very zingy and candylike if you drink them full strength.

They all taste like that.. you better stay away from all of them. Especially Ardbeg, Laphroig, Lagavoulin andCaol Ila.. tell ya what I'll even be so kind as to take any that you have off your hands.

FWIW Islay is on a major migration route and has a huge bird sanctuary, probably more "ducks" per square foot than most places.

Bunnahabin (sp?) is most likely to suit your taste. Or better yet you could try Littlemill it works well poured over Ice Cream.

personally? i like finlaggan 5 year old. the alcohol kills the duckshit. tasty as f*ck too. word is its a young lagavulin. warm warm honey notes, salt, light on the kelpy notes (so its probably leeward), maybe hints of fires blown across the island. love it.

Why is it that you know what burnt duckshit tastes like? Must be a pink wine drinker.

Well, that was productive and helpful. So tell me, mikey, what's your goal in participating here, exactly?

i eliminated all the other flavors, and after awhile, realized the one i couldn't identify, was duckshit.

as far as wine drinkin'? i tend towards a hearty burgundy, but i can be persuaded to drink chianti or a kind merlot.

p.s. yer mom likes burgundy too.

cheers! Doc

My goal is to poke fun at trollers who ask "productive and helpful" questions like the one asked by "Docy". He wants to describe the taste of my favorite libation as "burnt duckshit? I'll rise to the bait. Taking this a bit too seriously Davey?

Well... I'll take your word for it. Not having tasted any duckshit lately; burnt or otherwise.

BTW, my Mom was mostly a white wine drinker. ;>)

Yeah, I think that you got trolled, and don't like someone pointing that out. Ah well.

It doesn't happen often in this group, but occasionally another no-potential slob with no potential shows up... {plonk}
