whisky labels (2023 Update)

As a collector of whisky (and whiskey)-labels I am constantly looking for new items to enlarge my collection. Am I the only collector in the world?? I don't think so. I am especially looking for collectors in the USA, Canada and Japan. Lots of swopping is possible because I have a lot of doublets! Let me know!

Hmm...

I've been collecting beer labels for years, but it only recently occured to me to save the whisky labels too, so I'm just getting started in that area. Also, I don't empty whisky bottles nearly as fast or as often as I empty beer bottles. :-)

Digital photos do it for me. Every week or so I line up the empty wine and other bottles and shoot six at once.

No more slides or prints, thankfully.

I spend entirely too much time with computers to ever trust any collection entirely to digital storage. Hard copy, for me.

I like saving the original labels in photo albums. It's been a point of pride for me that I have personally sampled the brew from every one of the 2500 or so different beer labels I've collected, and the album makes a satisfying thump when I drop it on the table for show.

Hey Larry, you and I seem to be most of the life in this group this week. :-)

Well, it's a lot better than saving beer cans. My ex-boss's husband has over

3,000, and they take up half their house, it seems.

If you call this life -- my wife's away, and I'm drinking more and enjoying it less. 8;)

Time for a Scotch, I think...

Damn. And I was practically in the neighborhood two weeks ago.
