Yay!

Small town, middle of nowhere, and a rather grateful me that we have had 2 supermarket chains[1] open up in town this year with their attendant bottle shops. But they have up til now only stocked the rather boring 10yo Glenfiddich and I think, the Glen livet. And the rather young Bowmore legend, which I haven't yet forked over the money for - I was rather looking forward to the 12yo(?) canister they had, but which turned out to have a legend inside the presentation canister. I have tried mail order, but the canonical distribution company in this country are only interested in me if I want to order

12 bottles. Although they'd be perfectly happy with me ordering 12 bottles of wine for a twelth of the cost.

Then yesterday afternoon, I waltzed into one of the locals to see whether they had taken up my suggestion for more variety yet, and they had a 10yo Ardbeg. I bought it immediately.

Had one after work this morning, and all I can say is that I am looking very forward to knocking off tonight, which is alas, still in about 6 hours time.

[1] Large chains, one of the shops is very well stocked, all to serve 2500 people. Dunno how they do it.
