I met a friend for dinner and he brought a bottle of 2007 Perrot Minot Chap elle-Chambertin GC to enjoy with dinner. I started with a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc NV with oysters. The Ruinart was lemony, buttered toast an d almonds, with just enough stuffing to hold up to the oysters. We enjoyed the Burgundy with a quail stuffed with veal and truffles (yum). The wine was dark red in the glass, fairly bright nose of iron/minerals, cassis, blu eberries and plums. Mid weight on the palate, lots of spicy black and red fruits finsihing with a distinctive mineral note. Needs time but delicious now. A
