"Beppe" - Check your system date - Others tell me how to fix?

Seems like the last 4 messages posted by Joe Rosenberg are showing in my newsreader as dated with the year'16, thus sitting at the top of the list of posts (where I would assume they may sit for another 11 years or so). I use Outlook Express (Mac v. 5.0.6) to read the group.

I'm not newsreader savvy enough to know if this is an issue with Joe's computer, his newsreader, or something else (something in MY system?)..... but I thought I would alert him to what I see. In 'rules' OE allows me to eliminate posts with a sent date that is x days OLD, but not those that are post-dated.

Hopefully, others in the group may have the knowledge to tell us both (?) what to do.

It's not that I don't love Joe's posts, you understand........

Thanks.

I have not seen a post from Joe Rosenberg in a long time. I wondered what had happened to him. I am using Google to read and post to Usenet now. I wonder if there is a problem with viewing the post on Google, or if perhaps I need to have my glasses changed :-) . Anyway, if Joe responded to any of my posts, I did not neglect him, I just did not see his post.

Yup.

It's Joe's computer's date that is off. If you look at his headers, you'll see separate headers for Date and NNTP-Posting-Date, the former of which is supplied by his computer and the latter by his news server.

Joe just needs to reset the year entered in his computer's system date, which hopefully he'll do after reading this ;-)
