stemless Italian wine glasses?

An Italian restaurant near where I live (that has since closed) served red wine in a simple stemless glass. It was like a lowball glass, but a little smaller. In Tuscany last summer, I found that this was fairly common, but I can't find anything like it in local stores or in web searches. Can anyone suggest where I could find some glasses like this?

thanks,

Bob

Riedel's been making the stemless "O" glass for some time now:

But I remember being served table wine in what was just a simple juice glass, probably available lots of places.

Thanks. The Riedels really look like wineglasses withut the stems, and what I'm thinking of does come closer to a juice glass.

Searching the web for juice glasses gets me a little closer, but so far all the ones I can find have one gimmick in their design or another. In fact, it's easier to find gag dribble juice glasses than a plain, clear one like the kind that Italian restaurants use. But I'll keep looking...

There are some things where the web is not the best answer. Just go to any big restaurant supply store, most should have 2-3 choices of reasonable substitutes.

If you're in the US, and near a Crate & Barrel store, they have small clear

6oz. juice glasses that should work (the line is called Crescent). Dale's idea of a restaurant supply store should be an even better source, if you're near one.

Might find them at Williams Sonoma.

Try to see on the following site, they have nice hints about wine and maybe links to find what you are looking for:
