2015 Do Ferreiro “Cepas Vellas” Albarino (Rias Baixas) This super old vines bottling is usually considered maybe top Albarino made , I always look forward to trying. But this bottle seemed flat and short, while there were only hints, I think this had seen some heat. From a reputa ble retailer, but with a sourced from private collector sticker. Drinkable, but barely, after dinner I switched to tastes of the NSG and St Jo.No wines Monday (Korean stew with fish balls) but Tuesday I grilled some sq uash and eggplant, then added (along with leftover green beans with tomato) to some mussels for a variation of a mussel and ratatouille recipe I like d. Went with Albarino again, this time with more success. The 2015 Forja de Salnes “Leirana Finca Genoveva” ( Rías Baixas) is del icious. Full and zippy, saline and orange peel on top of bright white fruit s. Long finish. B+/A-
