Wines for digestion problems

I have some intestinal issues such as bloating and cramps and constipation after just about anything I eat. I was hoping some sort red wine would be good for helping that. Any suggestions? Sources for the suggestions?

Thanks!

I suppose that the best thing you could do is ask your MD. Similar symptoms can be related to different problems. And even for a same problem, different approaches are possible. For example, if you are suffering IBS caused by stress, and a glass of red wine every night helps you to relax, it would help you reducing the digestive symptoms, even if alcohol is not recommended with IBS. But perhaps wine is not what you would like when you need to relax and then you will not benefit from it.

As a general advice, I would avoid alcohol when having digestive problems (and that includes beer and wine). Four pints of still water and one hour of fast walking everyday will probably help you much better.

Best,

s.

And your fee for a consultation will be how much?

If you've got medical problems, that's what a doctor is for. If and when she recommends a wine rich in ........ then by all means come and ask us.
