I am the captain of the 'HomeBrewers' international grid-computing team; we use our computers' spare power for important medical research, such as cancer, and donate it to a non-profit organization -- the World Community Grid. We have fun setting goals for our team and engaging in friendly competition with other teams. I was planning to issue a challenge by the 'HomeBrewers' to any winemaking team, but found out that there is none on the World Community Grid -- at least the word "wine" is not mentioned in any team's name or self description except as a joke. That is also the case with meadmakers; no team. Although I've made some mead in the past (actually a melomel), and some wine (getting ready to make some again from 25 gallons of watermelon juice I have in the freezer), I'm not allowed to be on more than one team at a time. I therefore decided to post this message to see if any of you would be interested in forming a team? If not, you are naturally welcome to join our HomeBrewers team. The life that YOUR computer can help save ... just might be the life of someone you love! Please join us so we can all help one another make this a healthier world. For more info, visit
Cheers.
