what happens if a keg gets warm??

I am having quite the bash tomorrow afternoon, and I have two different 1/2 kegs on ice. It's piled on top and around the sides of the keg barrell.

The overnight low is 53 degrees, and I am sure the ice will melt out sometime during the night. Should I make a 4AM run to 7-11 for more ice or will the keg survive 4-5 hours of not having ice?

It's Labatts and Hieniken if that matters.

Thanks.

It will be just fine. The thing about beer spoiling if it changes temperature is an old wives tale. If it gets "hot" it could spoil quickly, but at temps in the 50s it won't have a problem.

Just be sure to ice the hell out of that swill before you try to drink it. ;-)

Yeh. The only danger with letting it warm up is that you might be able to taste it. Which would NOT be good.

This advice is too late for your party, but may help in the future.

First off, if you're push>Next day keg beer is the worst!

Eh. Not worth the effort. ;-)
