Chappel Cider Festival (Nr. Colchester)

From a leaflet picked up at Colchester BF (Strewth! after 6 years some actual publicity effort.)

*Basic info* 9-12 June at the Railway Museum Chappel (Right next to the live railway station - Trains to Sudbury, Marks Tey -> East Anglian main line) 25 Ciders & perries 6-11 Thu, 11-11 Fri & Sat, 12-3 Sun Info :

*PF comments* A lovely relaxing venue - for those of you who know the Chappel BF the cider festival is in the goods shed and really tiny in comparison.

Don't forget to take your empty lemonade bottles for carry-outs

There is a proper camp/caravan site next door and also less formal camping. Ask on 01206 242524 for details.

  • Plus * Sat 11th Starts at 12 noon * Cycle ride from Colchester on Saturday. Depart from the car park of the Bricklayers Arms, (Mile End Road, 1min cycle from railway station.) at
12 noon. Up to 16 miles av speed about 10mph - Nothing very athletic. The man with the fish on his head will be me. (Returning is always a bit hazy - catch the train back if needs be - otherwise a very pleasant 7-mile ride.[1])
