I’ve been going down a coffee rabbit hole lately and started wondering something…
Is freshly roasted coffee actually that different from the big supermarket brands — or is it mostly marketing hype?
I used to just grab whatever was on sale at the grocery store. But recently I tried a smaller batch roast that was shipped fresh, and the flavor felt noticeably smoother. Less bitter, less burnt taste, and somehow cleaner energy.
*Now I’m curious:
Does freshness really change the flavor that much?
Is it about roast date?
Or are commercial brands just over-roasting for shelf life?
Has anyone here done a side-by-side comparison?
I’m not trying to sound like a coffee snob — just genuinely curious if anyone else noticed a difference in:
☕ Taste ⚡ Energy levels 😌 Jitters vs smooth focus
Would love to hear what you all think.
