Tea pilgrimage: halfway there

We got to Calcutta via two British Airways flights: New York to London and London to Calcutta. What with the trampling of time zones and a long layover at Heathrow, it boiled down to two overnight flights, so we started February 18th and arrived before dawn on the 20th.

Forgive the bragging, but I'm really proud that after a sleepless night, as we neared London, I didn't submit to bad CTC black tea brewed at the inadequate boiling temperature you get at 30,000 feet. Yes, I accepted their hot water and plastic cup, but what went into it was a Chatsford infuser with some very nice cheap Phoenix oolong from New York's Chinatown. Mmmm...
