TN: 2 Loire whites, 2 Gamays, 2 roses

Hot evening Wednesday, but nice group gathered by river in shade for jazz concert. We carried grilled shrimp over greens, pate, culatello, cheeses, and fruit.
2005 Cazin ?Vendanges Manuelles? Cour-Cheverny This is the (mostly) dry, not the Renaissance. Lively acids, sweet grapefruit, a waxy note. Fun young and bright. B++
2018 Mas de Gourgonnier rose Classic Provence rose, pale and lithe, dry and satisfying. B/B+
Others shared a red snapper ceviche, chicken, broccoli salad and more. Plus more wine
2017 Pepiere ?Briords? Full, minerally, crisp, classic. A-/B+
2018 And Why Am I Mr Pink rose Name is best part of this wine. Modest acids, quiet strawberry fruit, needs either more zip or more body. B-/C+
2017 Petite Gallee (Coteaux du Lyonnais) Geranium gamay, and a little barnyard. Tart. C+/B-
2014 Granger ?Le Bouteau? Beaujolais Villages Plenty of body, some herbs over black cherry fruit, tangy. B/B+
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
