The last time I visited London, the food was quite good. I didn't restrict myself to British cuisine per se, but I don't restrict myself to American when I'm at home, either.

The odd part was how unhoppy all the beer was.

The last time I was there I had some very good bitters, particularly in Thursk. There was a brew on tap with no name, just the gravity. But the British do tend to leave the IPAs for shipment to India ;-)

I was pleased by Newcastle Brown that hadn't spent weeks in the hold of a ship, even in cans it was better than it is in the US.

The food was okay, didn't hit anything great. Most Indian restaurants make a good dish, assure the waiter that you like the traditional spicing (assuming you do).
