Short notice, I know, but for those of you living locally and wondering where to go, the Stubbing Wharf Inn in Hebden Bridge is holding a cider festival with about 40 different ciders. There's also a hog roast, and I'm told that the chef will be doing creative things with apples! It's on today - sat 23rd - and tomorrow. The Stubbing is just off the road to Todmorden, a mere stones throw from the famous Fox and Goose pub.
I must report that I embarrassed myself by not getting past the Fox this weekend and didn't actually make it to the Stubbing.
Though that the cider seemed to "finish" at odd times didn't help - 9pm last night.
One particulary well known cider drinker in the Fox has I believed offered her services to help to go in today to the Stubbing to help them "clear away" any spare cider that may be getting in the way ...
