Sticky Faucets

I have been a lurker for the past few months, but this is my first post. I've gotten some great advise and recipes on this group. I've been home brewing and winemaking for about 20 years.

Here's my problem: I finally mounted faucets on the outside of my beer fridge a few weeks ago. Everything worked great! I no longer had to open the fridge every time I wanted a beer, and fish around for the correct hose.

Well, I ended up not using them for about a week, when we had some people over. My wife took them down to the basement to draw some beers (and to show off my handiwork :-)), when she called upstairs that the faucets were stuck! Sure enough, the handles on all three faucets were very difficult to move, but still worked. I tried loosening the connections a bit, but it made no difference. Even with continued use subsequently, the problem persists.

I discussed this problem with the guy at home bar supply place where I got the equipment, but he said he'd never heard of such a thing happen, especially with new equipment. Has anyone else here encountered this problem?

TIA

That's what I was afraid I was going to have to do. Seems I was better off with the old system.

Thanks for the reply!
