  1. Cincinnati's first craft beer only Oktoberfest

The locavore movement is booming everywhere from hippietown San Francisco to right here in Cincinnati, but there’s something key missing from its definition that absolutely must be recognized: It focuses almost exclusively on local food, ignoring the advantages of consuming locally brewed beers. Norwood’s Listermann Brewery is working to expand that definition by hosting the first Cincinnati Craft Beer Oktoberfest, which celebrates the present and past of Cincinnati’s ever-expanding brewing culture.

Ten local brewers are on board so far, including Mt. Carmel, Rivertown, Blank Slate, Triple Digit, Christian Moerlein, Rock Bottom, Cellar Dweller, Wiedemann, 50 West and Quaff Bros, each of which will bring a different brew to color the Cincinnati brewing landscape.
