Deschutes Brewery events coming next weekend

In November, Bend, Oregon-based Deschutes Brewery announced that its Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Inversion IPA and spring seasonal Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale would be available for sale in Ohio and Kentucky beginning Jan. 24.

To introduce those brews to the area, Deschutes is planning a series of local tastings and events next week, Jan. 24-27.

Scheduled events are:

Friday, Jan. 24 (5-9 p.m.): Friday Night Pints with Deschutes Brewery at Jungle Jim’s, 4450 Eastgate Square Drive, and 5440 Dixie Highway, Fairfield.

Saturday, Jan. 25, (7 p.m.): Hats Off To Homebrewers: Talk with brewers from Rhinegeist Brewery and Deschutes Brewery; sample beers; ask homebrewing questions; pick up free brewing supplies, including recipe booklets; and try to “Stump the Brewmaster.” Rhinegeist Brewery, 1910 Elm St?., Over-the-Rhine. Saturday, Jan. 25 (7 p.m.): Over-the-Rhine Pub Crawl with Deschutes Brewery will visit Arnold’s Bar And Grill, 210 E. 8th St.; The Lackman, 237 Vine St.; The Eagle, 1342 Vine St.; and Kaze, 1400 Vine St.

Sunday, Jan. 26 (11 a.m.): Brewer’s Brunch with Deschutes Brewery, Fifty West (sold out)

Sunday, Jan. 26 (6 p.m.): Beer Dinner with Deschutes Brewery, Teller’s, 2710 Erie Ave., Hyde Park. Call 513-321-4721 for ticket info.

Monday, Jan. 27 (8 p.m.): Service Industry Night with Deschutes Brewery, Molly Malone’s, 112 E. 4th St., Covington
