Flat beers

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing an unusually high number of flat carbonation microbrewery beers, lately?

I just opened my second flat beer in a week, and this out of only 3 sixpaks. One was a Bigfoot and the other a Drake's IPA. That's over

10%, which is way beyond unacceptable. Anyone else experiencing this?

Funny enough I opened a bottle of Stella here in north London today and it was as flat as a tack, and tasted foul. It is brewed under license in the UK mind you.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary lately.

SN's big enough that they shouldn't have the problems that some smaller breweries have since they often have to rely on old, used bottling lines that may not always do a good job of sealing. But then again, screw tops seem to be a little more vulnerable to developing leaks during rough handling, clinking around with other bottles in the case, etc.

(ugh. top posting. ick.)

Stella ain't a microbrew, so that's just plain ol' macrobrew quality- control problems (and $hite British fake-continental "lager" to boot. Boo. Hiss).

Haven't noticed in my neck o' the woods much lately. Probably because I drink waaay more on draught than from bottles or cans, but even the most recent bottles I've had have been in proper fizz. One - BridgePort Brown - seemed really generous with the carbonation, but not a "gusher."

You might want to move to Alpha King if it sold in your area. I have never had a bad bottle and on tap it is heavenly.
