ealing park tavern comments?

Anyone know it? From online comments I notice it's won praise for food but not for staff or service.

I can't fault the staff, service or food. More inportantly though, at least for this group, is that the beer is superb. Pitfield makes an occasional appearance on the guest pump and either Caledonian Deuchars IPA or Timothy Taylors Landlord are always on. The other beers are an Adnams and something dull and mainstream (which is why I can't remember what!!)

The front bar is for drinking, the back bar is for bar food (Tapas, I think) and/or drinking and the dining room is just for those eating, I like this - well defined areas so drinkers feel as welcome at diners. The restaurant food is classic English, very high quality and, for London, reasonably priced.

Every time I go into the Ealing Park Tavern I try to look for something I don't like about it, but I always fail. On paper a 'pub dining room' probably scares the living daylights out of most beer enthusiasts, but this one works.

For those that don't know it, is on the corner of South Ealing Road and Carlyle Road, the number 65 bus from Ealing Broadway passes the front door. Nearest tube, South Ealing (10 mins walk down South Ealing Road).

My sister, who lives round the corner, has been seeing more of me since the Ealing Park Tavern opened (it used to be a sh1tty Courage Pub called the Penny Flyer).

I went and had a fabulous meal - chicken liver pate with cornichons, main course of salmon fillet with crushed potatoes, broccoli and a very tasty lemon hollandaise sauce, but I had a glass of wine instead of beer (can't remember what now - must make more of an effort to make notes). Review almost done. And the service was spot on as well.
