Keg Cooling Device

Jul 22, 2007 1 Replies

I am hosting a graduation event, two kegs, several waves of people. I need a way to keep the two kegs cold for up to 12+ hours. Ice would work but its a hassle to store that much ice and keep pouring fresh ice in. I have heard stories of tubing (copper, or hopefully something less expensive), which involve keeping only the tubing cold and not the keg. This vague description is all I have but I am hoping to come up with a system similar to it or possibly something completely different but equally easy to use and manage come the day of the event. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try renting a jockey box from your local distributor. Beer runs through on the way to the tap, chilling it down. You would need about ten pounds for the whole day.
