Ohio Sunday Liquor Sales Law May Change

5/24/04 4:46:10 PM You soon may be able to buy alcohol on Sunday without having to watch your watch.

The Ohio house was scheduled to vote on a bill that would end a ban on Sunday liquor sales that dates back to prohibition.

The bill would allow liquor stores to sell alcohol from 1 p.m. till midnight on Sunday.

It appears it will pass, changing 71 years of tradition (shouldn't that be "prohibition"? - GH).

additionally, There seems to be no opposition to it, The MADD mothers (aka neo-prohibitionists) have been silent, and the Dpet of Liquor control which makes a percentage of retail (bottle) Liquor sales is anticipating increased revenue (what government entity doesn't like increased revenue) and the Right wing leaning Governor has not commented.

Huh? Won't you still have to "watch your watch" to see if it's after 1 pm yet before midnight on Sundays?
