It was back in college, so the venue would have been the dorm room. There was a local liquor store that would deliver beers to campus and we took advantage of this opportunity to try select singles. A typical order for me would be a Spaten or Paulaner 1/2 liter bottle of some sort, an Anchor Liberty Ale, a Cheshire Ale, and maybe a Tooths Sheaf.
This was on the Central Coast of California in the mid eighties.
