Ruddles Hedgerow: a joke?

Sep 08, 2007 1 Replies

Forced by a friend to go to my local GK (which I generally dislike but not helped by an uncaring landlord). Thought I'd end up with guiness 'cause the Abbot and IPA are normally horid, but tried the Ruddles Hedgerow.

The first thought was fruit drops and at least it had something to distinguish it from the usual crud. Is this a seasonal special or a permanent addition?

Seasonal special, in the same series as 'Orchard' which has apple juice added to it, and might be the same underlying brew as Hedgerow.

I really rather enjoyed the Hedgerow - subtle compared to the Continental and US Fruit Beers, but a nice berry flavour throughout and didn't taste artificial.
