The water at the new place comes in at 226 ppm TDS at the tap. Run it through a brand new Brita filter and it comes out at 112 ppm. I knew the Brita helped with hardness "somewhat" but I was surprised that it makes _that_ much of a difference. I'll have to remember to check once a week or so, and see how that performance degrades.
