Go to Dunkin' Donuts, buy 2 or 3 of their "Box of Joe", pour those into the huge percolator and use them just to keep it hot. Stand back and enjoy the compliments on the excellent coffee.

Or Starbucks, they sell their swill by the box too. Much easier.

Doesn't coffee have the amount per cup on the can? I think its 1 scoop per cup of joe. A cup being 8 oz. So, 50 scoops for 400oz of water.

I have to say I never heard of a box of coffee....

As for directions on the can, I never go by those, they are so wrong... I know how much I use here for my regular pot but I believe the more coffee you are making the less grounds you have to use. I will check into Starbucks box... interesting... thanks!

You might find this chart from the Bunn-O-Matic (major manufacturer of commercial brewing equipment--you see there stuff almost every diner in the US) helpful .

Yeah, its cool. Its a plastic bladder inside a portable cardboard box. Hold like 15 cups or so of coffee.

Looks like this.

Thank you to everyone who replied!! That coffee box reminds me of the wine boxes... I call them chateau d'mylar ;-)
