bullion hop substitute?

Nov 30, 2007 1 Replies

hi folks,

i'm just getting back into brewing after taking a hiatus due to a move. i'm looking at a recipe for imperial stout i made several years ago that calls for bullion hops. well it seems these are impossible to find these days! does nayone have any suggestions for what i can use as a bittering hop instead? the recipe also calls for cascade kent gold, fuggles, and mt. hood.

thanks! ~epona

Try Columbus, Northern Brewer, or German Brewer's Gold at 8-11 AA.

Good luck, Wild
