Hydrometer Question

I am fermenting my first batch of beer, A typical pub ale. Had the wort in the primary for 5 days ( Airlock went up to 60 bubbles/min) When the airlock got down to 10 bubbles/min I racked it to the secondary It has been in the secondary for 8 days and is at 1 bubble/min When should I begin hydrometer reading to determine if the fermentation is complete?

bubbles/min)

Wait until it is completely finished bubbling, then wait a couple more days, then it should be ready for a hydrometer reading and bottling. If you bottle too early, your bottles may explode. It happened to me!
