Can't find a basic tea infuser mug set

Hey Dominic,

Are you talking about the covered mugs or gaiwan/gaibei? I have tons of the latter, as I use them primarily to infuse/consume tea on a daily basis. Tenren.com has three which are priced very well at around eight bucks (and aesthetically pleasing for someone's first gaiwan, if I say so myself). They also have the infuser mugs, too. If you are just looking for a covered mug, I'd suggest getting a gaiwan too. For me, tea just doesn't taste the same if it isn't brewed in a gaiwan.

Get a gaiwan. You'll thank me later.

They're going for about $5 in my Asian stores. I know that doesn't help you but gives you the idea of the cost. I watched some BookTV yesterday and learned why Andrew Carnegie left town and went to New York.

That is exactly what I was hoping someone knew about. Yes they normally cost me like $5-8 in the Asian markets, but all the ones I was finding online were like $17-25 and then shipping on top.

Also for those who asked, it isn't for me, it's for my fiance's sister as a b-day gift because the last one we got her got broken (this one may suffer the same fate, so that's why price was an issue to some extent.)

I prefer a gaiwan by far as well, but I still have a few of these around for quick cups myself.

With an infuser cup a person makes an easy transition from tea bags to loose tea. Gaiwans and Yixing pots might take a little longer.
