Hmm, saying this to a group of hardcore tea enthusiasts is little more than an insult to our intelligence.

Your site is vaguely reminiscent of

, did the various sites that you used as sources consent to you republishing their information? It also seems somewhat strange that all "Buy" links go to Adagio.com, are you guys some sort of shill site?

I contacted Adagio. They say they've got no affiliation with this site. I like adago, so i'm inclined to belive them Marlene

Interesting, judging by the low tech look and feel of the "BUY" buttons I am inclined to agree with you. Adagio is more professional than this. It is curious though, I have never seen a site that offered up "Buy" buttons to sites they weren't affiliated with, links - maybe, Form Buttons - No. I wonder what their motivation is? I looked at the underlying code and there is not any type of pass-thru ID so it is not a "clicks for bucks" deal. That also confirms that the guy didn't get permission to use the source material he so readily quotes.

My guess is that he is trying to become some kind of Portal, they do have an awful lot of general China information. The format is so similar to teahistory.net that I cant help but wonder if it isn't the same guy in a different set of clothes.....

This would be the herbal / magical / historical / cultural / oriental tea-site of the day, I assume, and hence we come back to the golden formula:

Portal-in-the-making + Googleads = Spam(RFDT) ^ 3

Bless 'em. I don't even know why I click into their sites anymore apart from morbid curiousity. Most morbid. :)
