Tian Feng Mao Feng(green tea)

Tian Feng Mao Feng(TFMF) comes from Anhui province in China. Anuhui province is very famous for her mountain view and this tea is from Huangshan(Yellow) mountain. Anhui is very famous for verities of green tea as well as for Keemun and most famous Keemun Hao Ya A and Keemun Mao feng black tea. But Tiang Fang Mao feng is not the same as black Keemun Mao Feng. The black Keemun Mao Feng version of green tea called as- Gao Shan Yun Wu. Excellent quality TFMF is also highly regarded alone with higher grade of Long Jin. Anhui province is very famous for- Grren and black Mao Feng, Gua Pian, Hou Kui, Ding Gu Da Feng, Qi shan Mao Feng etc. etc. Most of us know Anhui for her famous Keemun tea but in China- Chinese people know Anhui for her famous green tea rather then just keemun black tea.

An interesting historical background of Keemun:

Though we like and know Anhui as black keemun producing area but history says- Keemun tea had always been processed as green tea until in the middle of 18th century by a historical event. Though here, I am talking about about green tea but I think it will be interesting to talk about how black Keemun tea start produced. one group of Imperial Army was passing by a keemun green tea processing plant while it was getting dark. So the Imperial army officers decided to spend the night inside the factory. During that time, the factory was processing Keemun green tea. Imperial Army kicked the tea labors out and spend the night their. When they left the factory next early morning, the tea workers came back and found out their green Keemun automatically processed as black tea for over night oxidization. The tea processing master tasted the tea and found out the great taste of Keemun black tea. Sorry guys if the story took your extra time.
