White tea from Celestial Seasonings

While at Wal-Mart, I saw that Celestial Seasonings has two white teas, one is peach flavored and the other is pear flavored, IIRC, $2.12 for 20 teabags. Their website shows a third, decaf, and that they're using Bai Mu Dan (White Peony):

I've tried the pear-flavored white tea, and it's all right. It's got a strong pear-flavor, almost too strong for me, but if you like flavored teas it's nice.

I have tried Celestial teas in many of their varieties including the "White Tea Pear". I have since become very disatisfied with Celestial. I would rather have individually wrapped tea bags since I use the bagged teas & also drink other brands. I don't feel the freshness & flavor is all there with the way Celestial packages their teas. Just my opinion. .Mindy

I hear you.

Personally, I'm uncomfortable with Twinings and Lipton flavored, greens, and herbals for the simple reason that the paper envelopes seem to permit air to access the bags once the cellophane is broken around a box. With CS, at least the inner waxed paper top sticks closed, but I really like Bigelow's individual foil packets the best.

That is also true with Lipton & Twining.. I had forgotten to mention those as well.. & I can't figure out why they think that type of packaging will hold the freshness & flavor. I have never been uncertain with Bigelow. I only wish they had a "strawberry tea". Have a happy Holiday! ..Mindy

Well, in my Bigelow 8-flavor assortment from Costco, there was raspberry, bluberry, and cranberry-apple.

I don't know anything about this brand, but Google found it, and there were many other hits....

I use tea bags only as "tea to ignore", the stuff that sits on my tea warmer as I surf the net. I have found ok teas for $1 at thrift stores! not often.

When I buy tea bags from asian markets they may be wrapped in a foul smelling plastic, inside and out. If I make tea as soon a I open the package its undrinkable. sitting in the cupboard for a few days it airs out and is useable. Has anyone else had this problem?

after a few trys I have stayed away from CS teas. too sweet.
