New Glenlivet Nadurra 16

Oct 28, 2006 1 Replies

Just returned from my favorite whisky supplier with a bottle of the new Glenlivet Nadurra. It looks like The Glenlivet has finally wised up and bottled something a bit more promising than the ubiquitous 12 on every grocery store shelf. The 12 is a nice, flowery, fruity dram, no complaints here, but this one is bottled for more serious drammers.

16 yo, non-chill filtered, cask 57.2%, first fill oak casks, with bottling date and batch numbers. $56US.

We picked up a couple of bottles when we visited the distillery in early October. Very good stuff it is, too. My wife calls it the 'thug' of the Glenlivets.
