Ontario Whisky Tasting

I just happened to go by the LCBO web page, and they are having some sort of Whisky event. Here in Thunder Bay it seems to be on this weekend (Oct 15/16 2004) . Details at

. There is an option to find the times and locations in your city.

It looks like they are having Canadian, American, Irish and Scottish whiskys for sampling. Doesn't say if there is a cost or not.

Well, I went there last night, and there were promotional signs, the whiskies mentions displayed promiently, and tee shirts for sale. But no tasting! Apparently the guy who was supposed to run it didn't show up. To boot, they weren't planning on running the whole range, but only a few last night, and a few tomorrow.

I may be by that way again this afternoon, and if so I'll stop in, but a disappointment.

So, my friend and I went for a drink instead, and I had some Murphy's Red. What a delicious creamy beer. I think I now know what I'll be ordering on tap from now on!
