Rare Old Blended Scotch Whiskey "Ellis's 99"

Aug 01, 2003 0 Replies

I have just acquired a bottle. It is unopened. The label reads as such:

Rare Old Blended Scotch Whiskey "Ellis's 99" From the Oldest Scotch Distilleries Blended and Bottled in Scotland by Ellis & Co. ltd. Glasgow Produce of Scotland This Whiskey is 10 years old

It has no other date on it and no other indication of how old it is. There is a stick in the shape of Wisconsin that reads: State of Wisconsin

0010508 59 Occupational tax on intoxicating liquors 40¢

So, I am hoping it is from 1959.

Can anybody tell me where I can go to find out the value of this bottle? I know nothing about Scotch.

Thanks!
