After the posting on this wine I decided to open my last bottle bought in 1982. Opened for only 15 minutes prior to drinking. Magnificent opening nose of an older style Bourdeaux with earthiness/mushrooms, leather, some cedar box but didn't last long. Initial taste was black fruit and cassis, same on mid-palate but a short finish and all to quickly lost its flavor. Seems to have pretty much died. I would have hoped 1979 stored as best I could would have lasted this long but not so.
