Calling all members of Franciscans wine club...

Expressions Of Terroir - especially California members.

Has anyone noticed the over charges on UPS shipping rates by the wine club?

thanks, Blaise

I am not a member of the Franciscan "Expressions of Terroir" club, nor will I ever be after today. Minutes ago I returned from the Franciscan tasting room shocked at receiving unbelievably bad, in fact outright awful service. At 3:00 on a Thursday afternoon the tasting room was fairly busy with a hand full of tourists being over charged for getting their bottles shipped back to their home state. There was plenty of room at the counters and I could barely get my first let alone second or third pour of the flight being offered. I suppose I should be posting on another thread but I am now wondering if an individual or particularly young taster might experience any less professional and informative service when tasting at wineries. This is by far the worst of the thirty or so Napa wineries that I have visited in the last three weeks in terms of tasting room experience. I apologize for intruding on your shipping charge thread, but as it relates to Franciscan I felt the need to vent a little bit of my extreme unhappiness and amazement at how bad the tasting room staff was today. Even after my long awaited last glass there was not an attendant within eye contact and I ended up leaving my fiver under the glass for the bitterly obligational tasting fee. The wines were decent to good with the '00 Napa Cab showing the best, but with such arrogance or generally clulessness I wont be rushing out to buy any of their wines or their a membership to their Expressions of Terroir club either.

erggh...
