Distinguishing Tawny from White

I've found a variety of Port that looks and tastes like a ten- year-old tawny to my unsophisticated palate. Strangely, the label only designates the type of port as "Finest Reserve." The text in the biggest letters says "RUIZ PORTO." The fine print seems to be in Portuguese, and mentions "Madeira." The scary part is that its price is much less than well known LBVs. I was drinking Taylor Fladgate LBV up until two days ago, but the local store is under new management and doesn't have any in stock. So I decided to try Graham's Six Grapes and this RUIZ PORTO.

I haven't been able to find any information about this port on the web. I'd be grateful for any advice.
