The French Vineyards by Denis Morris VGC. 223 pages. Really interesting and thorough old guide from the 1950s covering all of the main French vineyards. Contains a number of fascinating period pics, a map of the area, as well as several appanix listing wine related recipes(is there any other sort?) lists of main Champagne makers etc. Really interesting to see how things have changed in the intervening years.
Some chapter headings:- Starting out / Champagne / Alsace / Chateauneuf-Du-pape and Tavel / Armagnac / Wine of the Loire etc.
