Re: Water, bottled or tap? Sugar?

We have been using tap water for our wines. Is that ok in most cases?

Are you on city water, with chlorine? If so, you might want to use filtered water for your wine - it's not like it'll hurt anything. (Don't use filters like Britta on well water, though - the carbon is a breeding ground for the bacteria in untreated water).

Also, Sugar. Are there different types of sugar? Is one brand better

We use either honey from our hives or plain store brand sugar.

Thanks, We have a borough water. I don't think it is causing any problems but like you said it couldn't hurt to by a few gallons and see if there is a different.
