Sugar Syrup

I've got several batches of various wines that I want to sweeten with a sugar syrup (2 parts sugar, 1 part water) and stabilize before bottling. I would prefer to simply make one batch of syrup big enough to treat all of the wines -- how long will the sugar syrup stay usable if kept in closed container in refrigerator?
